Wednesday Rambles- Vol. 3

Sorry for not doing a post last week. I was truly going to but then I had no access to wifi once I got to Colorado. So I just decided to enjoy my time there rather trying to blog. Anyways... time for Wednesday Rambles #3!

// One
Today I had my last first day of college. This is my last semester of classes since I will be student teaching next semester and won't have any. Guys... I'm a SENIOR IN COLLEGE! Like what the heck?! Where did college and life in general go to?? I really have been waiting for this day (no I haven't been wishing it away, but excitedly awaiting) since the first day of college.. and it finally came! My dream is not to be in school my whole life rather be the teacher in front of elementary students, so every year I could say I am one step closer to that dream. And y'all this year is going to fly by and before I know it I'll have my own classroom with my own students! This is all so crazy and surreal and I am so excited to share this adventure with you all! In the picture above is a girl who has been by my side through (almost) every class since the first day of freshman year in at UK. Man I wouldn't have made it this far without her and cant wait to experience this year with her!

The kids this week at work have completely worn me out. We are trying to figure out exactly where each of us are going to work (which grade/area/time) and it has been straight chaos... at least in my mind! Four of us on staff are in the same semester/year so we will be going for 5 weeks during October/November and also next semester for student teacher. In return this leaves our boss with 4 empty slots to fill. She still wants to give us as much time/money as we can get before we aren't able to work consistently if at all, but I sure do miss having my same class everyday! Guess I will have that to look forward to with being a teacher.

Kentucky is HOT! And I hate it... :( All summer long it has been the perfect temperature and weather and now I get back to Kentucky from Colorado and have to walk on campus, and its hot! I am not a hot, humid summer weather type of gal.

// Four
I miss Colorado and the beautiful mountains. They are so different from Kentucky's hills of horse farm (and don't get me wrong, I still love my old Kentucky home... but there is just something about the west!)

Hope everyone has had a great week so far! End it with some love on someone who needs it! :)

Wednesday Rambles- Vol. 2

I'm back for my second Wednesday Rambles! And, might I add, that this is my second post in two days! Maybe we can get one everyday for a straight week... we will see!?

{1}
Today was Reese's and my 6 year dating anniversary! We didn't do too much, but it was just nice to be together. And we even took a little photo shoot!! :) He has been working on a project and studying for his final for his last summer class EVER the past 2 weeks, so needless to say I cannot wait for him to be done and it is nice to get him out of his apartment for a bit! I am so proud of how hard he has worked and how well he has done this summer in his classes. Might I add that he has taken summer classes every summer since he started college, which makes this his 4th summer! Crazy boy! I know I couldn't do it. #EngineeringStudentProbz

Today started my last week with the boys before they start school! They have grown up and matured so much this summer and it was definitely a lot better than last summer. Can't believe that school is starting in a week! Summer sure has flown by.

{3}
I am keeping up with my goals for August because I went out and bought a small binder for blogging tonight! I think that it will definitely keep me motivated and on schedule to post and I won't get behind or go for weeks without anything. I'm trying y'all!

{4}
Yesterday my aunt took off work and we went to the new outlets that opened in Kentucky. They are about a 30-40 minute drive from us, that is an hour and half closer than the closest outlet! And let me tell ya, we found some good deals and some good stuff! We are definitely shoppers!! But hey, a lot of this stuff I get nowadays I make sure I can wear in the classroom because it will last me awhile. (Don't y'all just love my mirror pictures!)

I think that is all folks! Hopefully I can start getting posts up earlier in the day, but sometimes this series may be a bit later due to things happening on Wednesdays that I may want to be in the post! Hope you have had a great week so far, and continue to enjoy the rest of your week!

Wednesday Rambles- Vol. 1

So since I never blog consistently I have decided to start a series that I will do each week. A lot of people do Favorites Friday, but it just did not feel like me, I wanted something different. So, welcome to the blog, Wednesday Rambles. I believe that it would help in reflecting on the positive things mid-week. A lot of us look forward to Fridays because it is "the weekend" yet we only get 2 days free of actual work. I want to enjoy everyday throughout the week, and not just the weekends! But anyways... here is the first volume of Wednesday Rambles.

{1}
Two weeks ago at church after our pastor had given his message he challenged us to read Luke and Acts to be prepared for the next weekends message. His message was really intriguing and I wanted to be prepared for the next service! So I started reading Luke, and boy have I enjoyed it. I have read numerous chapters in one sitting and continue to learn new things and be reminded of so much!
{2}
I have also recently gotten back into writing in my prayer journal. I forgot how much more connected I felt in my prayers when I wrote them down, and I am so glad that I started doing it again!
{3}
I only have 5 more days left with the boys this summer. And that is absolutely crazy to me! Where did July go? Where has the summer gone? I start my senior year of college so so soon and I am not sure I am ready for it! It is definitely going to be a tough one, but I believe it will be a memorable one.
{4}
I have taken the boys I nanny to Barnes&Noble quite a few times. For some odd reason they love going and looking at all the books - even though the oldest can barely read - and I get so excited about the books that will be in my future classroom. The books I will read to my students or the books that they will read on their own. The book that will be their favorite or the first one that they read on their own. I haven't been a reader until lately, but I can't wait to see my future students reading in my classroom. #TeacherProbz
Hopefully my first volume of Wednesday Rambles was interesting and gave you all little insight to what all is happening in my life right now! I am going to sit down when I get a chance and try to plan out an actual schedule of posting because I want to continue with this blog life, because I have really enjoyed it!

Have a great night & a blessed rest of your weeks!
